AMESD Management

The Southern African Development Community (SADC) Sectetariat are the owners of the AMESD SADC Thematic Action project.

The AMESD steering committee is comprised of the African Union Commission, Regional Economic Communities (including SADC) and the African, Carribean and Pacific (ACP) Secretariat. The committee also includes observers from EU, EUMETSAT, WMO, UNEP, UNECA, FAO

Implementing Center

SADC has delegated the Botswana Department of Meteorological Services (BDMS) as the implementing center for the project.

Financial Contribution

The financial contribution of SADC in the overall budget of the project amounts to about 14%
